Welcome to the Montello Endowment for Education (MEE)
Empowering Montello Students. Enriching Educational Opportunities.
Our Mission
The Montello Endowment for Education (MEE) is committed to advancing the educational experience and success of Montello students. We aim to:
- Enrich teaching and learning.
- Expand educational opportunities.
- Foster professional growth for faculty and staff.
Our History
Founded in 2012, MEE was established to offer a tax-deductible option for donors to contribute funds or assets that directly benefit the students of the Montello School District. We operate independently of the district, yet our mission remains deeply connected to its success. Over the years, generous support from donors like you has funded a diverse range of grants, including:
- Robotics Clubs: Empowering students with STEM skills.
- Elementary Literacy Projects: Supporting young readers.
- Young Authors Workshops: Cultivating creativity and storytelling.
- Jr. High MATC Campus Tours: Inspiring future career paths.
- Middle School Opera Experiences: Introducing students to the performing arts.
Your contributions build community spirit, keep our focus local, and open doors to new educational possibilities for Montello students.
Grant Opportunities
Each year, MEE issues a call for proposals, inviting innovative project ideas that align with our mission. Grants have ranged from $100 to $4,300, supporting projects of all sizes that make a lasting impact on our schools. Initiatives funded in the 2024-2025 grant cycle included:
- Literacy and summer reading programs.
- Launch of a school coffee shop.
- 9-12 Social Studies Curriculum.
If you have a project that could transform education in Montello, we encourage you to apply when our funding cycle opens. Donate to support Montello students.
